But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “with men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Matthew 19:26 NKJV
The ability to see is powerful. I ended the last blog about eyes on my future, and it’s resonating with me. I hadn’t realized that not everyone could see. Yes, a person can have eyes and still not see. That’s what Jesus was talking about in Luke 8:10, ‘And He said, “To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest it is given in parables, that ‘Seeing they may not see, And hearing they may not understand.’” The ability to see is from God through the power of the Holy Spirit. It is so powerful.
Closing my eyes, I can see possibilities that may not be so when I open them. I’ve been working on my heart and mind — a while ago, I thought about what is the best that can happen? My mind has been conditioned to think about the worst that can happen, and I couldn’t even think about the best. I was faced with a situation and had opposition coming from the top and the side, but I kept thinking about what was the best that could happen. I thought about it, and then I acted on what I could see. Even though it was a tight situation, I could see that there was a way to complete the assignment. Trusted the vision because if I can see it, I can speak it, and if I can speak it, I will have it because I have want I say — why? Because God promised. God promised success in every area of my life, but if I can’t even think about what success looks like, how will I believe in God for it?
I moved forward with the assignment, and I just did what Jesus did — I spoke the word of God. Jesus spoke to the fig tree, and it dried up, so I spoke to the material, decreed, and declared that the material would be dry on time in Jesus’ name. The entire project was successful. I know the results would have been different if I had listened to others and if I could not see the victory for myself.
There is victory in every situation. We have to see the possibilities of God instead of the stress, fear, and the worst that can happen.
So Jesus said to them, “because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. – Matthew 17:20
